Hello, I’m Heidi Fuller
In 1990, I walked into a two-story computer in Boston, Massachusetts, and came out the other side in Silicon Valley.
I had joined a boutique PR firm specializing in Unix and Open Systems companies. That was six years after steering PR for a Midwest healthcare company and two at an East Coast B2B agency. Timing was everything. Directing account services for the start-ups that were about to unleash the Information Age in the 90s was like working backstage at a Stones concert in the 60s. A decade and a couple of kids later, I also put my tech know-how to work for healthcare companies, nonprofits, documentaries and public health campaigns entering the digital media space.
Inside that Boston Museum of Science exhibit a week before I joined the geek forces, I followed a single mouse click throughout the anatomy of a computer and watched how software, hardware, and middleware worked together. That’s when I really “got” that communications – whether between computers or people – is not just what you have to say. It’s how your input is “heard” by others; how it creates meaning and becomes useful toward a mutual outcome.
It’s also where I discovered that I love a good factory tour. You know, learn how stuff works to tell people how it’s going to knock their socks off.
Here’s how I help businesses succeed
As a communications strategist, I guide businesses, nonprofits, and public health programs through market challenges and growth opportunities.
As a content writer and editor, I simplify the complex and craft stories that shape opinions, influence behaviors, and sell big ideas.
As a program manager, I motivate teams to work with heart, ethics, and accountability.
I specialize in strategic messaging, content development, editorial strategy, writing, WordPress and Square Space websites, and social media marketing.
